Are you looking for a safe place to search for answers and explore the Christian faith? Are you considering finding a church where you can grow in the knowledge and application of your faith? Are you seeking a church that you can actually serve in and find purpose? The Harbor Church is a place where all of the above can happen. If you are seeking answers to spiritial questions, if you are struggling in your journey of faith, or if you have come to the point of simply giving Christianity a try, then you really need to stop by and check us out. However, if you have come to faith in Jesus and are looking to grow in that faith, to be taught, challenged, and stretched in what you really believe, then you’ll find an environment at The Harbor Church that will do exactly that: encourage, enable, and equip you to be a true and faithful follower of Christ. And finally, are you looking for opportunities to not only attend a church, but be a valued part of a church community as you use the spiritual gifts, experiences and abilities that God has given you? If that’s the case, then you should know that there are a great number of possibilites of service at The Harbor Church such as playing or singing on our Sunday morning Worship Team, helping or teaching a children’s class, and even being part of our sound and/or visual presentation team. Let us know what you might want to do and we'll see if we can make it happen. Here’s something interesting: Did you know that there was once a URI student who came to our church who was trying to figure out who Jesus was? That after learning what was in the Bible that this same student eventually came to faith in Jesus? That Jesus changed his life? That shortly thereafter he was teaching a children’s class? That he went off to seminary and then helped start a church in Iceland? And that he’s now the pastor of our church? I can tell you (spoiler alert!) that I was that student and that The Harbor Church played a significant role in my journey of faith while I was a student at URI and well beyond. I learned about faith, I learned how to grow in that faith, and I learned how to serve in and through the local church. I encourage you to check out our church and see what God can do in your life. You never know, you might one day be helping to start a church in some far away country or even become the pastor of a local church. Pastor Keith
