And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?”
Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.” Isaiah 6:8

This summer The Harbor is sending a team of 13 to support Mission Honduras July 31-August 7th.
This summer, we will continue to build the new meeting house for El Arca Camp as well as participate in youth camps, evangelism and minister at small village churches.
Last year, we were able to support two local pastors and their children's ministry for an entire year, plus provide various medical supplies. We can't wait to see how God uses us this year!
Thank you to everyone who donated supplies to bring with us or funds to help us get down to Honduras! There will be a mission recap Sunday, August 10th during our worship services, so if you would like to hear how God used us for His purpose and the wonderful works that were completed in His name during this mission, please join us or tune in to hear all about it.
The India Project at The Harbor Church exists to meet the essential life-sustaining needs of people in India's poverty stricken and remote areas. We use these funds to build churches and share the gospel in India as well as to build wells for better access to clean drinking water, and provide essentials for better living. We welcome the participation of churches, schools, and businesses as well as individuals with a passion to make an immediate and lasting difference in India to the glory of God.
April 2025 Update: There has been consistent government persecution of Christian churches in Rajasthan which has made church services and the well drilling difficult. Government employees have been defacing their church with Hindu God symbols. But the local pastors are standing strong in their faith and over the past 2 weeks have held services and completed the well project we recently funded. Please pray for these warriors who are about to embark on a medical mission to Kashmir, Punjab, and Pradesh!
We are united in partnership with fellow ministries and organizations together under one vision: to bring glory to God by making disciples of Jesus Christ. We physically and financially support these ministries and are connected, invested, and involved in these relationships for the long haul. We support ministries not only locally but also globally in several different continents. We support church planting teams, college ministries, Bible translations, and refugee ministries to make the name and saving power of Jesus known to all nations.
Here is a list of some of the organizations we support:
Harmony Women’s Care (formerly CareNet-RI) has been serving the women and men of Rhode Island for over 32 years. Our goal is to offer women facing unplanned pregnancies the support and information they need to change their fear into confidence. We believe that strong, confident women make healthy choices for themselves and their families.
Operation Christmas Child uses the gift of a shoebox to teach a child about the love of God, lead him or her to faith in Christ, inspire pastors, and plant new churches. What goes into the box is fun, but what comes out is eternal. Be a part of changing lives through the power of a simple gift.
Check back in around Christmas time to see how you can be a part of this impactful ministry!
The Harbor Church volunteers at the Providence Rescue Mission serving the homeless and the needy. The Providence Rescue Mission is a non-profit center whose focus is on bringing the Gospel of Jesus to this destitute population while also providing warm meals, rehabilitation, education, and therapeutic services at no cost.

Redemption + Restoration: sharing hope with those impacted by incarceration. Hope In Jesus Ministries was founded in 2004 with the goal of impacting the community with the Good News. They strive to fulfill this goal through evangelism, discipleship, outreach, and participating with God-honoring organizations. They have both local and global partners. You find out more through their website below.
Loving hands orphanage is dedicated to being “A loving word, a loving touch, and a loving hand” to the orphans of Haiti. Amongst rampant political unrest and poverty plaguing the country, they hope to continue to provide for the current 9 children as well as support the staff, upkeep of the orphanage, and any necessary improvements. The vision for the children is to see healthy, educated children who are followers of Christ and grow into independent adults who positively impact the future of Haiti.

We support a number of ministries around the globe, here’s a quick glance at the impact they’re making across the globe.
Casey & Val Ellis along with their children serve with Wycliffe Bible Translators to help their Ni-Vanuatu friends to have access to the Bible and Bible resources in the language that is most clear and meaningful to them so they can worship God like he deserves. Often, many of their friends in Vanuatu have to settle for hearing and reading the Bible in a second or third language rather than the language they speak most often throughout their days and speaks most deeply to their heart. The Ellises are excited to be partnering with Bible translators --both local and foreign, to help local men, women and children understand and engage with God's word so the Gospel of Jesus may be most clear to them. Please prayerfully consider linking arms with this family for the worship of God among the people of Vanuatu!

One of our hopes for 2025 was to build relationships with more Almwirte and Hüttenwirte who make up the backbone infrastructure of traditional agriculture and hiking cabins across the Alps. A three-fold goal: helping work the land and care for creation, providing space for Christians to invite their non-christian friends and open up spiritual conversations, and invest in these often isolated caretakers and share the Gospel with them. [A new volunteer] Chrissy knew Ellen from years ago and knew there was always work to be done on her land, so she made the introduction. Having had negative experiences with other groups coming to "work" but who really just wanted a free vacation, Ellen was skeptical to receive our team of staff and volunteers. We also viewed it as a step of faith, not knowing what exact work we’d be set to or what time we’d even have for Gospel conversations! At the end of the weekend we were all sure: it was worth it. We hauled rocks, helped build a well and even mucked out the outhouse. Ellen was so thankful! Our FLOW team was able to "work hard as working for the Lord", with the joy and love of the Lord evident, and this left a lasting impression. During mealtimes, Ellen inquired about the team and their faith, and they were able to have numerous faith conversations with her and her co-caretaker. Her background is a mix of folk religion and Christianity common in the traditionally catholic remote alpine communities. We praise God for preparing our team with a student of philosophy and Chrissy, who herself had come to faith out of the esoteric scene, to be able to share the Gospel clearly and personally. We pray these seeds take root! The door is open to return, build on our relationship with Ellen and serve and reach this mountain community. Praise the Lord.

Natalie Towle is one of our newly supported missionaries and serves through Cru in Hawaii and the Pacific Islands. Previously serving with the Baby Box ministry in Korea, she currently works with pregnant mothers at LIV. Pregnancy & Women's Wellness, a facility similar to our local partner Harmony (linked below).
“I desire to see family and personal restoration that lasts in the nations. I believe that as believers we have both Great Commission Mandates from Mark 16:15 to go and preach the gospel, as well as from Matthew 28:19 to provide quality discipleship for all nations. I believe that my role in this is more specifically to create change through business and holistic maternal health care.”

Niger, West Africa, is a nation located in the 10/40 window that is currently over 95% unreached, one of the world’s poorest nations, and its desert climate is one of the world’s hottest. Formerly supported through the Bowden family, we are continuing our support to the indigenous ministry of Vie Abondante (Abundant Life) to reach the unreached peoples of Niger. We are now directly supporting the Bible school and church plants in the region. They are seeing the love, joy, hope, and freedom of Jesus Christ changing lives in Niger!
Brokenness exists in every area of life, including sport. But we believe there is a remedy to the brokenness of the world in the gospel of Jesus.
Athletes experience brokenness both personally and as part of sport-culture. They also have unmatched influence in their communities and around the globe.
Since 1966, we have been helping athletes experience the hope and purpose that comes from following Jesus, and equipping them to use their platform to be part of God’s mission in the world to make disciples of all nations.
By serving, training, and sending athletes as influencers into the world, we are building spiritual movements everywhere through the platform of sport so that everyone knows someone who truly follows Jesus.
